A renowned professor of dance, Validi established Fred Astair's studio in Jersey City.

In 1984 Valdi took over the historic Apollo Dancing Academy; it became The Imperial.
The Apllo was established as a place for dance back in March of 1900. It closed in 2007.

The building was built as a private dance studio and enlarged in 1913!
Validi renamed it The Imperial and kept it's dance traditon.
